Kick starting off July I had the pleasure of attending the debut of the much anticipated El Dorado Festival ran by the talented Cirque Du Soul team. In collaboration with the world renowned Boohoo.com I was asked to takeover their Instagram & Twitter accounts for the weekend reporting live from the festival. I showed you all how I got sassy in style.
Ok so where do I even start?! Located in a valley in the beatiful countryside of Herefordshire's grounds of Eastnor Castle surrounded by stunning lakes, it's safe to say that the festival site was one of the most serene settings that I ever witnessed. For three days I escaped to a circus/jungle - like world complete with a plethora of freakishly amazing characters, from 8 feet tall women on stilts, to jungle animal contortionists, fire eating ladies and sassy salsa dancers (and that's just to name a few).
The festival attendees themselves had me in absolute awe with the amount of effort that went into their make up and outfits. With Saturday's amazing theme of 'Golden Treasures', everyone certainly went the extra mile to get glitzed, slammed, fancy dressed and oh so sassy.
In collaboration with the amazing BEAM shoes, El Dorado Festival also created their own special edition pair of gold kicks which of course I sassed on the Saturday night. I don't think I'd ever imagined myself feeling so cool in a pair of light up flashing trainers, but I certainly made my 5 year old Sassy Rudy's primary school days proud looking just as cool as I did back then ha. Plus they're comfy AF so I was able to shuffle (well attempt) like an absolute princess. Make sure to head over to their website to get your hands on a pair of your own right here. With an amazing line-up, headliners such as Kano, Blonde, Basement Jaxx and Collie Buddz, and not forgetting the "Rewind" LEGEND Craid David Himself closing the show. The whole event was graced with talents from genres at all ends of the spectrum. The event literally ended with a bang, with an emotional surprise finale fireworks display. What an unforgettable experience it was. Memories shall be treasured forever and new friendships that have blossomed. A big thank you to El Dorado Festival for throwing such an amazingly unique festival, what a way to kick off summer!
